It was an easy install and I love the smoked housing against the white paint. At night, the 2 amber LED strips are bright and give the truck a unique look.As stated in the past, I have probably the least aerodynamic Ranger on US soil and run 285/70/17 (will be changing over to 255/85/17's in future). With a 93 Performance tune from 5-Star I noticed about a 2MPG increase over factory mapping.

I think even that is a long shot.Each year the 5G Ranger lost some standard equipment or some items became restricted to higher trims. Minor things but noticeable. Two center box hooks went away in 2021 (4 instead of 6), hood struts in 2022, Lariat engine covers in 2022 etc. Rough Shifting is mentioned commonly here (mine's starting to). No dedicated installation 'kit' for 5g Ranger. My previous S197 Mustang and Mercury Marauder (panther body) had Signature/ASC moonroofs installed by the same shop. Both had: Auto Close when wipers turned on and Auto Close when vehicle turned off. Current setup on 5g Ranger has neither. Ranger does have Auto Close when the driver's door is opened.In cabin storage is a bit wanting but I like having a bunch or road side equipment stuff just in case. For now, that is about it. Overall, I’m pretty happy with the buy. The 6g does have a fairly decent looking interior, but nothing really spectacular from the 5g version. The new Colorado has a much nicer design than the 6g Ranger. 6g has some nice tech, the 360 camera is nice.The 5G Ranger and SYNC3 does not have wireless Carplay or Android Auto.
