Rebuilt 350, flat top pistons, 882 heads, street dominator intake, holley 650 carb, but i went with the comp thumper cams and a rebuilt 700r4 with alto red clutches. Stall is between 1700 and 2000. Oh and full length headman headers.The best casting numbers for the double-hump head were 461 and 462, which had better flowing ports than the later 441 and 882 versions of this head. Then Chevy came out with the famous Bow Tie performance heads for the small block, which were even better than the original double-hump heads.

Before, I ask them, let me throw out some info on what I am doing. I have a 350 4 bolt main block that was made between '77- '79.In that case, I encourage you to acquire a pair of Chevrolet Bow Tie phase 2 cylinder heads (part number 14011034). They are the best cast iron heads Chevy ever made for the small block. They have angled plugs, 2.02 intake, 1.60 exhaust, and true 64cc combustion chamber volume. I've been running those heads on my car since the 1990s.

On the 461 double hump heads the "X" version had larger intake runners. In the case of the 441, heads with the "X" has the same intake runners as the regular 441 but the combustion chamber was 80cc instead of 76cc. There are different variations of the 882 head, which has been stated already.With the 64cc heads I have now, my compression is about 9.1:1, if I go back to the 76cc it will drop to 8.5:1.
