Cracked dashboard repair
My 2005 TL got a nice crack right above the passenger side glove box area. I'm guessing from heat in Florida. Question is, should I replace the dash ($600+) or have someone wrap the dash? 1993 Honda Civic (sold) -D16y8 built, Greddy Td04-25g Turbo Kit @15lbs - 256 Hp w/ 130lbs torque. 12.3 1/4 mile. 2005 Acura TL.2006 Toyota Solara 35,000 mi, toyotadan48. Around here, these trucks are plentiful in salvage yards. This is probably the most labor intensive and expensive solution. 3) Install a cloth dash cover/mat. This can be effective, and even attractive when done well. The price is often acceptable and with a couple of hours to install it, this is also worth considering. 4) Install a new dash skin.The usual way to repair upper dash cracks is to sand down the split, then perhaps (though it's not required) fill the crack with some material suitable for dash repair, then simply glue the dash cover on top.
