I can see the pros and cons of both the HS-407/507C-X2 and HS-407/507K-X2 in this situation. However, if the OP bought a slide milled for a HS-407/507C-X2, that definitely tips the scales in favor of the HS-407/507C-X2. I'd never run an adapter plate on any pistol.
