The R150 transmission and R150F transmission are a pair of 5-speed manual transmissions that were built by Aisin, and used in the 1988-2004 Toyota pickup, Toyota Tacoma and Toyota 4Runner from 1989 – 2002. These are hearty little gearboxes and are actually variations of the Jeep AX15.The rear end is compatible. I built an R151F/154 hybrid for my 2wd hilux and there were no issues I can think of. The parts came from 1988/1992 donors.
