However Honda does not recommend replacing this filter for the normal life of the transmission. It would be replaced during a rebuild.Note the position of the OE filter, pull it off and replace it with the new one, make sure the old rubber seal comes out too. Pop the new filter in place of the old one in the same position. Use clean rags to clean the gasket mating surfaces on the pan and the transmission.
