I get that it's more complcated this time around with the different cargo heights with battery, no battery, and 3rd row options but the completely flat area was so nice for sleeping.Tarp over the sleeping area in the cab was my method on latest trip, definitely not the best but functional and didn't cause problems -would strap down and use heavy tarps so it doesn't mess up ur sleeping gear

The bottoms of the rear seats fold forward which means you loose about 8 inches…I just removed them when I took my road trip…they are only held on by a few 10mm bolts…I'm 5'11 and I slept perfectly…didn't have to lay diagonal at all….the seats go back in just as easily…it really is no big deal….
